Straight answers on choosing a grade, what documents you receive, samples and minimum order, and how to run a trial. If your question is not here, ask it — we add the useful ones.
Start from the application track, not the data sheet. Each of our nine tracks names the grade we would send first and the comparison grades we would put beside it — for example CENSIL 230W for waterborne matting, CENSIL 260P as the base feed-premix carrier, CENSIL 773 for clear-film antiblock. The grade selector walks you there in two clicks. The final choice is made on your own line, with samples.
Six families: carriers and flow aids (260P, 265P, 280P), porous silica (310, 320, 500), high-purity fine powder (150), coating matting silica (230W, 525L, 560N), defoamer silica (17, 698, 688) and film antiblock / masterbatch (773, 779, 185P, 165GR, 185GR). Grades within a family sit on one gradient — absorption, surface development or surface treatment — so a trial can move up or down without changing platform. See the grade index.
P is a precipitated silica powder. W, L and N describe the surface treatment of the coating matting grades: W is specially treated for waterborne systems, L is organically treated for resin compatibility, N is untreated. GR is a granular form for masterbatch feeding where dust control and feeding stability matter more than fineness.
Often, yes. CENSIL 260P is used as a feed-premix carrier, a food anti-caking aid and an agrochemical WP/WG carrier; CENSIL 310 and 320 appear on the food, oral-care and fluoride-screening tracks. The grade is the same material; what changes is the documentation set and the test plan we write for each use.
Yes. CENSIL 17 is the hydrophobic grade, used in oil-based defoamer systems for anti-caking and stability. Compatibility with mineral oil, silicone oil, polyether and waterborne systems is confirmed on your own system rather than assumed.
The CENSIL range on this site is precipitated and porous silica. If your application calls for fumed silica, or silica gel, tell us the process problem — we match materials from several sources and will say plainly if it is outside what we can supply well.
Because figures drift between supplier revisions, test methods differ between catalogues, and a number read out of context says little about whether a material will work in your formulation. We publish the selection logic and issue the data on request: you receive the current-revision technical data sheet with the test method behind each figure, the specification sheet and a COA. Use the Request TDS button on any grade, or email nina@sensilchem.com.
Technical data sheet, specification sheet, certificate of analysis for the lot, SDS / MSDS and a use statement. Certificates for the producing plant — FAMI-QS, SGS verification, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 — are supplied with qualified enquiries. Details are on the quality and documentation page.
Feed-grade material comes from FAMI-QS certified production. For food, oral-care and agrochemical uses we confirm the destination-country position separately for each enquiry rather than making a blanket claim on the website, because requirements differ by market and by use. Tell us the country and the application and we will state exactly what documentation we can provide.
Yes. A COA is issued with every lot shipped, and retained samples are kept so a later question about a batch can be traced back. Every lot is tested for particle size, surface area, loss on ignition and moisture; the figures travel with the COA.
No. Customers commonly benchmark our grades against products such as Evonik SIPERNAT® and ACEMATT®, W. R. Grace SYLOID® and SYLOBLOC® or PQ precipitated silica, and we name those reference points on each track page so you know where a grade sits. Fit is confirmed by your own trial, never by a claim of equivalence. Trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Click Request a sample anywhere on the site — it opens an email with the questions we need already laid out — or use the enquiry form. Tell us the application, the material you use now, the formulation or resin, the equipment and the target. We reply with a proposed sample set and a short test plan.
Sample material is free of charge for qualified enquiries: typically a main grade plus one or two comparison grades, a few hundred grams to two kilograms each. Courier cost for the first shipment is usually carried by the customer.
A typical first order is 200 kg to 1 tonne — enough to run a production trial without a warehouse commitment. Mixed grades on one order are accepted. The exact MOQ per grade is confirmed with the quotation.
Multi-wall paper bags or PE-lined bags on pallets, bulk bags on request. Production lots go by sea from Xiamen or Fuzhou on FOB, CIF or DAP terms as agreed; samples and urgent small lots go by air or courier.
Samples ship within a few working days. Production orders are confirmed against stock and the production schedule at quotation, and the documentation set is issued before the goods ship.
Yes — Longyan Shenghe Trading has an Alibaba storefront. Technical enquiries are better handled directly by email, where we can attach data sheets and write a test plan.
Run the candidate beside your current grade in the same resin at the same loading and compare five things: gloss at 60° and 85°, clarity and haze on a clear coat, tactile feel, dispersion effort and viscosity, and anti-settling in the can. The coatings track sets out the test plan and which of 230W, 525L and 560N to start from.
Load the liquid active onto the candidate at your target ratio and watch three things: whether the powder stays free-flowing after loading, how it behaves in the blender and discharge, and whether the blend cakes in storage. If the load is held but flow suffers, move one step up the carrier gradient — 260P to 265P to 280P.
Silica is not a defoamer on its own; it is the structuring and carrier component inside a defoamer formulation. CENSIL 17 stabilises oil-based defoamers and CENSIL 698 / 688 turn a liquid defoamer into a powder that still flows. Tell us the system — mineral oil, silicone, polyether or waterborne — and we will say which route to test. See the defoamer track.
Not on its own. CENSIL 310, 320 and 500 are candidate substrates for fluoride-removal functionalisation screening — porous materials that a treatment developer can modify and test. They are not validated fluoride adsorbents, and we make no removal or discharge-limit claims. The fluoride track explains the scope.
Sensilchem is a brand of Longyan Shenghe Trading Co., Ltd., based in Longyan, Fujian, and exporting functional silica since 2009. We source from certified producing plants and add the part most customers actually need: process profiling, grade matching from more than one source, sample sets with a test plan, and documentation confirmed for the destination market before anything ships.
Overseas manufacturers, formulators and technical distributors — customers who have a process problem and the capability to test a solution. Typical situations: qualifying a second source, small volumes across several grades, niche applications and regional projects that larger producers do not prioritise.
