Coating Matting & Rheology

For wood, industrial, UV, waterborne, powder, coil and leather coating customers. Different particle sizes and surface treatments let you balance gloss, clarity, tactile feel, rheology, anti-settling and application behaviour.

Where we add value

  • Three matting routes — fine-particle special treatment, organic treatment and untreated.
  • Improve matting efficiency, dispersion, clarity, tactile feel and anti-sag behaviour.
  • Select by resin, solvent system, dispersing equipment and target gloss.

Who this track serves

  • Wood coating, industrial coating, refinish, coil, UV and powder coating manufacturers.
  • Waterborne coating, leather coating and coating compounding companies.
  • Coating customers with a formulation lab and dispersing equipment.

Grades on this track

Three matting routes: a specially treated fine-particle grade aimed at waterborne systems and refined surfaces; an organically treated grade for resin compatibility and general matting; and an untreated grade for industrial, coil, powder and general-purpose systems.

We publish the selection logic, not the numbers. Data sheets are issued per enquiry so the figures match the current supplier revision and your application.

Typical values for orientation only, not a specification. The current supplier technical data sheet governs for quotation, COA and customer testing — request it for the grade you are evaluating.

How we approach it

Start from the coating system and the target appearance: waterborne systems needing a refined surface should test CENSIL 230W first; resin compatibility and general matting point to CENSIL 525L; conventional industrial, coil or powder systems can start from CENSIL 560N.

Tell us what is failing in the process

The material you use now, the formulation or resin, the equipment and the target you need to hit. That is enough for us to say whether we have something worth testing.
