CENSIL 560N is a precipitated matting silica, untreated in Sensilchem's coating matting silica family. Untreated. Balances matting, rheology, anti-settling and cost for industrial, coil, powder and conventional systems where a treated grade is more than the job needs. It is quoted on the coating matting & rheology track. Specifications, the technical data sheet and a COA are issued per enquiry; the fit is confirmed on your own line.
Three surface treatments covering the usual coating systems. The treatment, not the chemistry, is what normally decides which one fits.
Specially treated for waterborne compatibility and refined surfaces. The first grade to test when a waterborne clear has to stay transparent while losing gloss.
Organically treated for resin compatibility and easy dispersion. The general-purpose matting route across wood, industrial, UV, plastic and leather coatings.
Run CENSIL 560N beside the material you use now, in your own system at the same loading, and read the dimensions below. We send a short test plan with every sample set.
| Test dimension | What to watch | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| Gloss | 60° / 85° gloss and matting efficiency | Tells you the matting result |
| Clarity and haze | Clear-coat transparency and surface appearance | Tells you high-end appearance fit |
| Tactile feel | Fineness, slip and soft-touch character | Tells you product differentiation |
| Dispersion and viscosity | Dispersing difficulty, system viscosity, storage stability | Tells you production fit |
| Anti-settling and sag | Storage settling, sagging and film build control | Tells you delivery stability |

Technical data sheet at the current supplier revision with the test method behind each figure, a specification sheet, a certificate of analysis for every lot, SDS / MSDS and a use statement for the destination market. Sensilchem does not publish specification tables on the website; request the set by email and it arrives matched to your application.
The material you use now, the formulation or resin, the equipment and the target you need to hit. That is enough for us to say whether we have something worth testing.
